1) What this tool does

PrepMyList generates interactive checklists (e.g., road trip, car maintenance). You can use them without creating an account.

2) Data stored on your device (localStorage)

Your checklist data (items, notes, completion status, and checklist settings) is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not receive this local data unless you actively choose to share a checklist via the sharing feature.

3) Shared checklists

If you create a share link, the checklist content is stored on our server (Supabase) under a random identifier so the link can be opened on another device. Share links expire automatically (currently after 30 days).

4) Feedback

If you submit feedback, we process your message and selected category (and optional rating), a timestamp, basic technical information (e.g., browser user agent), and a hashed version of your IP address for abuse prevention and rate limiting. We do not store your IP address in plain text in the feedback database.

5) Cookies, consent, and analytics

We use Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S) to manage cookie consent. Cookiebot stores your consent choice and may set strictly necessary cookies for this purpose.

If you give consent to "Analytics", we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the website is used and to improve it. GA4 is configured with IP anonymization and is only active after consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

6) Service providers (third parties)

To operate this website, we use the following service providers:

• Netlify, Inc. – website hosting and content delivery
• Supabase, Inc. – database services for shared checklists and feedback submissions
• Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S) – cookie consent management
• Google Analytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) – website analytics (only after consent)

Fonts used on this website are hosted locally. No connection to Google servers is established when loading fonts.

Data is processed only to the extent necessary to provide, secure, and improve the service.

7) Legal basis

Where required, we rely on your consent (e.g., analytics cookies). For essential processing (e.g., hosting, security, and abuse prevention), we rely on legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service.

8) Data retention

Shared checklists expire automatically (currently 30 days). Feedback is stored as long as necessary to process and improve the service. Hosting logs may be retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

9) Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing in certain cases. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
